In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. + This individual will lead the Abbott Electrophysiology sourcing category management team and must possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to understand and articulate business cases, proven experience in developing sourcing strategy, the capacity to effectively influence business decisions, and a track record of delivering successful outcomes in a very dynamic environment. + An accomplished and expert negotiator, this individual will lead a team of eight category managers and spearhead all critical aspects of sourcing strategy. This Individual must be adept at identifying and extracting costs out of our supply chain while balancing value and risk. **What You’ll Work On** + Lead a high-performance team in the development and execution of comprehensive sourcing strategies that create leverage, mitigate risk and deliver competitive advantage to Abbott EP + Develop negotiation strategies with team and articulate steps to achieve negotiation objectives. + Collaborate closely with R&D to assess supplier capabilities and select critical supplier partners in support of new product development + Aggressively push through roadblocks and slowdowns at suppliers when encountered. + Develop thorough knowledge of product features, benefits, comparisons, operational impact, future product pipeline, FDA 510k filings, cost drivers, and market information. **Required Qualifications** + Demonstrated track record of driving results within cross-functional, collaborative, and fast-paced environments. Ability to effectively manage expectations, negotiate trade-offs, and prioritize requirements. + Accredited College Bachelor's Degree (STEM, Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance) required. + 15+ years of relevant work experience required.
