Senior Manager, Sourcing Operations – Apparel, Equipment and Packs

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Sourcing Operations to lead cross-country Production Operations teams and oversee end-to-end production processes at Tier 1 factory partners. This role holds full accountability for resolving production-related issues and driving operational excellence across quality, on-time performance (OTP), and social/environmental compliance.
You will foster strategic partnerships with factories, advance manufacturing capabilities, and support the broader Product Supply COO strategy. The role also involves building organizational competencies aligned with best-in-class manufacturing practices and a consumer-first mindset. Frequent travel to factory sites across designated regions is required.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead the Production Operations team, set priorities, coach team members, and foster a high-performance culture
+ Develop strategic partnerships with Tier 1 factories and internal VF functions to ensure consistent product execution and operational excellence
+ Act as a strategic thought partner to Sourcing leaders, providing insights and recommendations for COO and vendor strategy decisions
+ Build in-country capabilities aligned with long-term supply chain objectives, including supporting investment discussions with Tier 1 vendors
+ Use data and analytics to identify trends, address systemic challenges, and improve factory performance in quality, OTP, and compliance
+ Serve as senior escalation point for production issues, leading cross-functional problem-solving and decision-making
+ Sponsor adoption of automation, digital tools, and lean manufacturing initiatives in collaboration with Commercialization and Tech teams
+ Conduct regular on-site factory visits to monitor production and ensure quality standards meet brand expectations
+ Partner with VF Quality Management to troubleshoot chargebacks
+ Stay informed of industry trends, material innovations, and manufacturing best practices
+ Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with VF Values and “Winning Together” culture

**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus)
+ 7–10 years of experience in production operations, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role
+ Experience working with overseas factories and multicultural teams
+ Proven experience in leading and developing teams
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PLM systems, and production planning tools
+ Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages (Vietnamese, Khmer, Mandarin) are a plus
+ Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region
