About the RoleAs Senior Manager, Sales planning and strategy at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in executing against top company business objectives and help define our sales strategy and planning roadmap.
You will be responsible for leading a team of sales planners and analysts. Your team’s responsibilities will range from strategic (designing incentives aligned to the company's goals and strategy, integrating new products into sales GTM strategy and building consensus among sales leadership) to operational/tactical (designing compensation plans, driving plan implementation and ensuring key metrics can be communicated, tracked and commissions calculated). You will bring a strategic mindset and deliver critical insights using analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales incentive programs globally while proactively building partnerships, promoting open dialogue and creative insights expertise to issues in real time. Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
You will report into the Director of Sales Planning and Compensation within the Sales Strategy and Operations organization.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will be driving… Strategic Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of sales planners and analysts to to own the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales incentive structures for our SMB Post Sales team. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR and Product, to drive alignment and support decision-making. Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency. Sales Performance Optimization: Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and implement strategies to optimize sales performance, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and salesforce effectiveness. Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain sales forecasting models, track key performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for executive leadership and Sales teams. Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the Sales planning team. Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations, Sales planning or related field, preferably in the technology marketplace, logistics, or e-commerce industry.
