WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Are you passionate about Risk? We are looking for an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Manager, Risk and Controls, for the Risk and Governance team in Global Functions Technology (GFT). The successful candidate will have a full understanding of GFT’s Risk Profile, Risk Appetite and be able to clearly communicate/support Senior Management and Executives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Perform a focused assessment of the Risk Profile for GFT. Understand all of the Risks/Issues/Reports that feed into the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and determine if it’s accurate.Understand all of the underlying Risks in the Risk Register (the book of record of documented and assessed operational risks) and evaluate all new risks. Conduct a deep dive on the Risk Register, determine whether the controls in place are appropriate for mitigating the risk. Analysis should be done on an ongoing basis, not once a year. Understand the effectiveness of the design of the Controls.Evaluate the Risk Register on an ongoing basis to ensure it accurately depicts the risks applicable to the Business Unit’s activities.Ability to describe the Business Unit’s Risk Profile as reflected in the Risk Register, including any actions being taken to remediate excess residual risk exposure.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
CRISC Designation5-7+ Years Experience as a Risk ProfessionalHas a lot of Initiative, Self-Starter with a learning mindset, Ability to navigate situations where the requirements may not initially be clearDeadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Strong organizational and time management capabilities. A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.Nice-to-have:
Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements.Previous knowledge/experience with Key Risks/Indicator tools (e.g ERIC/Archer)Ability to facilitate discussion between and influence key decision makers.Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across multiple functions and businesses.What’s in it for you?
