We're on the lookout for a visionary leader to spearhead the launch of Merchandise Financial Planning at LEGO Retail—an exciting leap forward in our planning capabilities. In this pivotal role, you'll craft an integrated view of top-line targets across product categories, channels, and locations. By setting clear goals and metrics, you'll ensure that our assortment plans align efficiently with forecasts, supporting our strategic growth and innovation.
**_Please note_** that work location is in either our **Copenhagen HUB** or our vibrant **LEGO Campus** in Billund. No relocation assistance is offered for this role.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ **Merchandise Planning:** Ensure a high-quality Merchandise Financial Plan for LEGO Retail, focusing on a 24-month horizon with a location-first, retail-metrics approach aligned to top-down, product-led plans.
+ **Operations Planning:** Provide expected Orders and Units aligned with the consumer sales plan to support warehouse capacity and labor planning.
+ **Target Setting:** Support the process of annual target setting across sales, margin, inventory, location etc. primarily for LEGO.com, however working closely with store planners in order to ensure we deliver a cohesive and aligned view of the global LEGO Retail business.
+ **Campaign Metrics Planning:** Support key campaign periods such as Black Friday with a more granular view of all retail metrics targets. Provide forecast of expected orders / units per order, to enable capacity planning within the LEGO.com fulfilment centres.
+ **Shopper Trends:** Analyze consumer data (acquisition, frequency, average spend) to identify risks and opportunities within the financial plan.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Build strong relationships across Finance, Category Management, Channel Heads, and Marketing to ensure the Merchandise Financial Plan reflects key inputs.
+ **Risks and Opportunities:** Monitor performance against plans, highlight gaps, and participate in identifying commercial activities to mitigate risks.
+ **Scenario-Based Planning:** Model the impact of commercial activities (markdowns/promotions) on inventory, sales, and margins, presenting options clearly to key partners.
+ **Process Alignment:** Ensure standard methodologies are applied globally throughout the LEGO Retail planning process.
+ **Ad hoc Projects:** Lead regional and global projects in planning and operations, focusing on implementing end-to-end retail planning capabilities using the o9 platform and statistical forecasting.
**Play your part in our team succeeding** Merchandise Financial Planning is being formally introduced to LEGO Retail as part of a step change in our end-to-end retail planning capabilities. The Merchandise Financial Plan delivers a view of the top-line target across product category, channel, location and time; providing goals against which assortment plans, and line level forecasts can be reconciled.
**Do you have what it takes?**
+ Proven financial planning experience within a retail environment, covering on-line and brick-and-mortar channels
+ Experience of crafting retail plans at various location levels, including Country and Store.
+ Experience at using statistical forecasting for growing planning efficiency and accuracy
+ Demonstrating strong collaboration skills across various functions, cultures and management levels.
+ Strong analytical approach, the ability to spot patterns and draw conclusions from large data sets.
+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Experience leading process change in a global setting. Energised creating new ways of working, establishing new frameworks and ensuring process governance
