**POSITION SUMMARY:**
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director for Calvin Klein this position will be responsible for PR and Influencer Marketing of the Calvin Klein brand in Japan with the aim to further drive brand elevation and commercial growth. Leading local PR and Influencer Marketing strategy creation and implementation to deliver best-in-class brand experience that further ignites brand desire and boosts Calvin Klein brand awareness in the market. Responsible for driving Earned Media Value and coverage in print, digital, social media, and new platforms opportunities this role will lead relationship management, including celebrities, influencers and press/ editors as well as tapping into our vast pool of Regional and Global Ambassadors for top tier Editorial opportunities to broaden our appeal to a variety of communities and subcultures in the local market.
This role functions as the voice of Calvin Klein in Japan and will oversee a team of PR associates, showroom assistants, external vendors and PR agencies.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:**
**PR +** **Communications**
+ Develop and implement communications strategies aligned with the global brand vision and guidelines across all categories for Japan. Amplify brand initiatives and work closely with brand management to synergize brand / product messages and product assortment.
+ Drive strategic partnerships with major publisher titles in Japan to maximize brand PR value and exposure ROI. Ensure local publisher partnerships (paid or earned) execution is on brand. Leverage cross market synergies if possible when regional/global talent is greenlighted by APAC.
+ Partner with key stakeholders in the business to ensure PR and Influencer Marketing efforts are integrated 360 into the go-to-market plans, maximize earned exposure in own channels.
+ Develop communications tools working with relevant stakeholders to support campaign execution ie. Press release, product seeding plan & kits
+ Support crisis management in compliance of global and regional processes in times of need.
**Influencer Marketing**
+ Champion Calvin Klein talent (from celebrity to influencers) strategy, develop talent pipeline identifying key candidates brand relevant for Japan, the region and potentially Global to support business objectives. Influence global brand ambassador selections for local relevancy.
+ Lead influencer community strategy and segments, optimize activation/ engagement plans to drive campaign objectives, key messages and 360 programming. Drive execution, ensure influencer lists are up to date and brand relevant.
+ Innovate and negotiate ways of working with talents and garnered content to maximize brand PR and exposure. Work with Brand Activation team to maximize brand led campaign synergies and social content capture. Work with wider Go-To-Market Team to synergize product priority and messages.
+ Manage team to build on brand Influencer marketing Strategy and execute both in building a meaningful network as well as broadening the approach to strategically relevant new segments.
**Social Media** **Strategy l (Social Media / Influencer / Affiliates)**
+ Manage the posting plans of local Japan Calvin Klein social media accounts (FB, TW, LINE Voom)
+ Manage the development of digital contents when necessary to drive local business opportunities and meaningfully connect to the Calvin Klein Japan Community.
+ Increasing on brand UGC
**Budget planning, allocation and tracking**
+ Manage annual PR budget, Sample Budget and License Partner Budget against agreed ROI together with Marketing Director
+ Working with finance team on a monthly basis and ensure timely readjustment and reporting
+ Deliver on KPIs & the compilation of reporting needs. Monitor EMV and key metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams on integrated post-event/ campaign reports
+ Be in the know of earned media content trends to drive consumer relevance & innovate earned content garnered from third party talents/ press, influence global/ regional brand led content creation to support campaigns.
+ Leveraging industry, local, regional, consumer and customer data and insights, oversee and analyze brand visibility on and offline on on-going basis

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:**
**Experience:**
+ 7+ years of work experience in PR, communications, talent, fashion or luxury and marketing
+ Excellent contacts in media, entertainment, and influencers and the demonstrated ability to interface effectively with them.
+ An exceptional record of achievement as a senior communications professional
+ Demonstrated negotiation and talent relations management skills.
+ Experience of managing a team/agencies, complex workstreams with quality control
+ Experience in budget management
**Skills:**

+ Own strong business acumen with a sense of urgency and a bias for action
+ Strategic thinker, detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and a self-starter
+ Depth of knowledge on Consumer Marketing, Brand Marketing and Campaign Planning. Peripheral understanding of Digital Marketing, Retail and Omni-channel landscape to help facilitate direction across functional departments
+ Strong oral and written communication skills; experience crafting strategic recommendations and persuasive presentations to leadership
+ Able to manage a variety of viewpoints, expectations, and stakeholder goals that may conflict, to a compromised solution
+ Have a positive aura with high energy and passion for growth
+ Comfortable with change and the ambiguity it brings along
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
+ Exceptional aesthetic sense that can be applied to the creative work
+ Understanding of Influencer Digital Portals (Lefty) and PR value tracking systems (Launchmetrics) is a plus
