The Senior Manager, Projects & Design – Japan reports to the Senior Director, Projects & Design, and is responsible for the management of project stakeholders, project timeline, design process, and the successful opening/conversion/renovation of the hotel project. As the point of contact between Owners, and internal and external partners, you are a conduit of information, collaborator, and facilitator between Hilton and Ownership.
You will cover the Japan/Korea region and be responsible for focus-service, full-service, lifestyle and luxury hotel projects across all Hilton brands.
What will I be doing?
As the Senior Manager, Projects & Design – Japan, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Project Management
Design & Development Support
\n\nReview and approval of architectural planning, interior design, and FF&E designs, in consultation with the Senior Director/ Directors, to ensure they meet Brand standards and Brand equity. \nProvide technical assistance to the Development team before application to facilitate project approval.\nContribute to country-specific addenda to global Brand standards for all Hilton brands.\n\nWhat are we looking for?

\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design\nMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in hospitality design roles and project management.\nFluent in Japanese and English. Spoken and written.\nExcellent communication, presentation, written, and public speaking skills.\nAbility to lead change, resolve issues, and ensure collaboration within teams and/or units; including maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity.\nAbility to evaluate and find opportunities from a strategic perspective, develop, prioritize, and implement plans to meet the organization’s core strategic goals.\nProficient skills in Microsoft Office products. Understanding of the principles and practical application of the software.\nAbility to accurately estimate project duration and pre-empt potential pitfalls based on experience, scheduling analysis, and interaction with other stakeholders and ownership teams.\nAbility to assimilate new concepts and practices into the position and the department. To provide subordinates with effective on-the-job training, policies and procedures, departmental training topics, and professional development.\nFinancial management and leadership skills, including the ability to monitor expenses against commitments, set priorities for funding and develop annual financial goals.\nAbility to travel when required.\n\n\nWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?
