**Job Description**
**Hybrid:** Reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).
+ This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to **Warren GM Global Technical Center** three times per week, at minimum.

**About the Role:**
Our Human Interface Design studio is seeking a highly capable, creative, and driven individual to serve as Senior Manager, Product UI for our organization. Our studio creates digital user interfaces across multiple brands and vehicle platforms, directly impacting the success of our business and touching millions of lives.
As Senior Manager you would partner closely with design leadership to deliver world class design at enterprise scale. As an adept team leader, you will be tasked with growing and optimizing the feature design, implementation, and design quality teams for a large vehicle design studio to ensure world class vehicle products. It will be your responsibility to build partnerships with key stakeholders in design, product, and engineering to advance design initiatives and mature user experience capability across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience shipping high quality user interfaces, deep understanding of human-centered design and agile SW methodologies, and a knack for managing complexity to foster high-performing creative teams.
**Responsibilities**
+ **Design Practice Management**
+ Grow and direct a team of 50+ multi-disciplinary designers at various contributor and management levels
+ Develop and mature teams focused on product and user interface design
+ Manage relationships with and projects executed by 3rd party design partners
+ Collaborate with design, product management, and technology leaders to implement operating standards to ensure speed to market, clear customer impact, and design ROI
+ Act as a champion for user experience design across the enterprise, improving partnership and design influence and ensuring the optimal customer experience is understood and delivered
+ **Design Direction**
+ Direct and ship new features and design enhancements for a broad portfolio of vehicle UI
+ Evolve, implement, and drive adoption of multi-brand design systems
+ Advocate for world class brand experiences across the enterprise, including with senior leadership
+ Leverage customer insights to explore and envision the future; champion advanced projects and initiatives with design at the forefront
+ **Vehicle Implementation**
+ Ensure execution of vehicle UI meets design intent and a high bar for design craft
+ Work cross-functionally to resolve implementation and vehicle integration issues
+ Guide regional teams in adherence to global design standards and integration with vehicle UI systems
+ Safeguard vehicle and design quality throughout the vehicle production lifecycle
**Additional Job Description**
**Requirements**
+ 10+ years of experience creating user interfaces, connected products, or complex software applications across a range of channels
+ 5+ years of experience directly managing creative or design teams, automotive strongly desired
+ Bachelor’s degree in Design or related discipline
+ Proven track record of creating successful connected products or experiences at enterprise scale
+ Deep expertise in interaction and interface design, software development methodologies, and product development lifecycles
+ Strong portfolio with work samples showcasing expertise in interface design, creativity, and depth of thought
+ Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale with clarity and objectivity; experience presenting to diverse audiences including senior leadership
+ Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation abilities with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
**_Compensation_** : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. + The salary range for this role is $ 219,000.00 - $336,200.00 USD Annual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
+ Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
