About the role:

Rabobank is seeking a strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development, design and ongoing management of products tailored to our  Country Banking clients.

This is a key role within our Products & Deposits team, reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with stakeholders across the front line, operations, IT, finance, marketing, and external vendors.

You’ll be responsible for the technical accuracy, compliance, and customer-centricity of our product suite, while driving innovation across lending, , cards, and payments products.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & Development:

Design and improve products for our Country Banking clients, including loans, payments, and debit cards.

Business case origination and approvals

Representing Products & Deposits on IT prioritisation meetings/forums

Client & Market Insights:

Stay on top of market trends and front-line staff feedback to identify opportunities for better products and experiences.

Contribute toward the development of performance indicators for each product, including the delivery of regular agreed performance reports.

Vendor Engagement:

Support vendor relationships, especially with our agency banking provider, by guiding product-related changes and enhancements.

Payments & Open Banking:

Act as a subject matter expert for payments and Open Banking, contributing to related projects and ensuring compliance.

Revenue:

Monitor product fees and recommend changes where appropriate.

Compliance & Governance:

Provide assurance products meet regulatory and internal standards, supporting Rabobank’s commitment to fair customer outcomes.

Support any product related remediation activity.

Continuous Improvement:

Use insights from complaints and incidents to identify issues and improve products.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering and maintaining banking products that truly meet customer needs. 

What You’ll Bring:

Proven experience in product management within financial services, ideally with exposure to rural or agribusiness banking.

Strong understanding of payments, cards, and Open Banking developments.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Analytical mindset with experience in developing financial business cases and performance reporting.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Commitment to delivering fair, transparent, and customer-focused outcomes.
