We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Manager, Privacy
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, MMC Pacific this leadership role will play a critical part in enhancing and maintaining a robust privacy framework for MMC Pacific. This is a pivotal role in fostering a culture of privacy awareness throughout the organisation and will champion the importance of privacy as a fundamental aspect of the organisation's ethos.
We will count on you to:
Provide expert, pragmatic and solutions focused advice and support on privacy and data related matters to relevant stakeholders across MMC Pacific. Lead the enhancement of a robust privacy framework that enables compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulatory requirements across the organisation.Develop and deliver privacy compliance training programs and incident management protocols.Monitor and oversee privacy practices to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations..Undertake assessments of privacy-related incidents including reportability to OAIC, ensuring timely investigation, reporting, and resolution.Conduct privacy risk assessments and make recommendations.What you need to have:
Experienced privacy professional with proven leadership exposure in regulatory compliance or legal with experience in the Australian financial services industry preferred. Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation, with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations and the ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements. Ability to rapidly analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way. Ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on privacy and data related matters.Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.What makes you stand out:
