Job Description

Team Summary

This is an exciting time to join the Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (SMT) Marketing Team, as we strengthen our focus on deepening relationships with Global Clients and grow Visa products and services. The SMT Marketing team is a passionate and dedicated team with a high-performance culture focused on leading and supporting campaigns and partnerships to grow Visa’s overall brand equity with consumers and businesses, in addition to advancing Visa’s Marketing Advisory Services across our client portfolio. As part of the SMT Marketing Hub Team, the Senior Manager, Marketing Services & Client Marketing, Global Clients (Asia Pacific) will serve as the primary point of contact and payments marketing expert for our Global Clients in Asia Pacific. This role will be reporting directly to the Head of Marketing (SMT). This role will be based in Singapore.

What a Senior Manager, Marketing Services & Client Marketing, Global Clients (AP) does at Visa:

In this role, you will lead the scoping and sell in of marketing programs and oversee implementation of marketing services engagements designed to enhance the client’s brand, grow its customer base and increase engagement with Visa products and services. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge regarding payments marketing trends, insights and best practices, is accomplished in managing strategic partnerships and has a track record of architecting, building and implementing innovative, high-impact marketing strategies and campaigns on behalf of our Global Clients. You will be required to collaborate with the Regional & Global Client Marketing community, the greater AP Hub team, as well as AP functional business leads to help develop business growth strategies, best-in-class RFP responses and Marketing Services innovation. You will also be responsible for aiding the Senior Director in Quarterly Business Reviews & Annual Growth Strategy exercises (MSO and AOP).

You will work closely with Visa’s in-country Client Marketing teams to support them in their Marketing Services pitches & proposals, enabling new revenue opportunities and margin growth opportunities to help them meet and exceed their core revenue and average annual net revenue (AANR) targets. You will also be responsible for supporting and delivering Marketing engagements for the regionally managed Global Client accounts: HSBC, Citi and Standard Chartered. Success in this role will be measured through revenue & contribution margin attainment, forecast accuracy and stakeholder feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

Nurture and grow client relationship, establishing Visa Marketing Services as preferred marketing partner.Serve as primary point of contact and payments marketing expert for our Global Clients in Asia Pacific, and work in close collaboration with AE and VCA team.Develop multi-year holistic global account marketing plan to ensure consistency and alignment with client’s vision.Build the Global Client’s Marketing Services pipeline and manage the Global Account VAS Advisory revenue in partnership with AE and VCA.Lead business development for marketing services, focusing on both local and multi-market opportunities. Drive revenue, margin and customer satisfaction for Marketing services with respective clients and be accountable for achieving annual targets for the business unit.Collaborate with regional/local delivery teams to support business development for multi-market opportunities and engagement implementation.Coordinate with regions and markets to ensure seamless handoff of from business development stage to implementation and execution phase.Participate in ongoing client meetings and quarterly business reviews, champion marketing services in shaping client program strategy.Oversee administrative and operational processes necessary to bring client engagements to market – contract development, legal/compliance approvals, VPC management, revenue recognition etc.Provide ongoing support to cross-functional and regional working team responsible for implementing client projects; share expert knowledge about clients’ business to help facilitate decision making and move projects forward.Lead the measurement, analysis, and reporting of marketing program performance and its impact on business results, where applicable.

Qualifications

As a candidate you should have:

Minimum 10 experience in marketing in the financial services or paymentsSuccessful in operating in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organizationsTangible business experience in payments, marketing, advertising or consulting roles.Accomplished in B2B2C and B2C marketing strategy and working cross-functionally to implement and execute, with particular emphasis on creating first or new to market strategies  Demonstrated experience working across diverse geographies and cultures.Past experience bringing new ideas to market, creating innovative marketing strategies new to the business, navigating across highly matrixed organizations to secure approval and build the go-to-market roadmap to enable executionSkilled in crafting, pitching and selling new, innovative ideas to executive leadership and clientsConfident in working in new territory or grey spaceStrong executive presence; excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPointBachelor’s degree required
