Job Description

The Senior Sourcing Manager is a key role to support and enable Global and Regional Category leaders and their strategies As a Sourcing Lead you are accountable for developing Sourcing and negotiation strategies to deliver sustainable results across certain Marketing Communications categories like Media Production Marketing Technologies Experiential Market Research Public Relations among others by identifying new opportunities for value and process improvement You will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to succinctly frame issues and alternatives to drive decisions forward This role will report to the site Director while also receiving strategic category guidance from the global team

Responsibilities

Support the global category team with the development of requirements, include a formal evaluation process to prioritize quality, cost, service, technology, and environmental requirements; future technology roadmaps, breakthrough goals; Strategy includes benchmarking (to determine world-class levels) and internal & external gap analysisUtilizes strategic sourcing process in all sourcing initiatives.Manage complex, cross-functional teams in sourcing initiatives, understands and applies milestone checks and steering team concepts Strives to create additional value to exceed customer expectations, provides attention to detail. Ensures agreed deliverables are met, dealing openly with constraints and issues.Translates business goals and proposals into sourcing policies, plans and supplier relationships.  Brings business and sourcing perspectives together, helping the business to see the potential and impact of sourcing recommendations.Drives cross-functional negotiation teams, influences stakeholders in the decision-making process, implements world-class negotiation techniques and contractual clauses. Educates business & suppliers on TCO concepts and deliverablesWorks with legal counsel and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions of the contractsParticipates and may lead in supplier selection and moderately complex contract negotiations, involving Legal and other departments as necessary, to achieve favorable terms on quality, delivery, and price, and ensure end-user needs are met and deliver cost savingsMaintain external focus by leveraging industry peers, organizations, associations and by continuing to build strong relationships outside of VisaCommunicates effectively and frequently, listens carefully, and actively seeks and values the perspectives of othersDrives completion of simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize resultsShows an understanding of suppliers’ business models, key drivers, measures and priorities.  Pro-actively explores developments in global supplier markets and supply technologies, identifying possible break-through Sourcing solutions for the business. Able to facilitate and lead cross-functional supplier business reviews at Strategic & Operational levelContributes significantly to the achievement of defined category performance targets and assists in driving the performance of associated suppliers, measure supplier’s performance to ensure performance meets expectations

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications8+ years of experience in Procurement with a Bachelor degree or an Advanced Degree5+ years leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies specific to marketing categories.Deep understanding of cost models and performance metricsSuperior analytical and problem solving skills using tools such a Microsoft ExcelPast experiences in helping develop business cases for change through leveraging business acumen, market intelligence, and insights to drive a broad strategic impact across an organizationDemonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience, including development of negotiating plans and strategiesStrong stakeholder relationship-management skills and ability to communicate effectively, and collaborate with, senior to exec managementExcellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action. You need to be able to tell compelling stories through insights and dataProficiency in English where the candidate must have excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. This includes the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and write reports and business correspondence in EnglishProficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces (including, Ariba, Coupa, DocuSign, and Oracle)
