What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Manager, Investor Relations you will conduct extensive benchmarking and competitive analysis of peers in an effort to develop messaging on RBC’s financial performance and strategy, and provide external perspectives to internal partners. The Senior Manager will also assist in the quarterly reporting process, including production of external disclosures. The Senior Manager will also support certain enterprise projects, including annual rating agency reviews; as well as communicate with internal partners in order to answer questions on RBC’s disclosure and other industry-related issues. The Senior manager will also assist in the preparation for our upcoming investor day and will work closely with the performance management team to push through monthly deliverables to our CFO.
What you will do?
Identify key trends through summarizing & benchmarking Canadian and U.S. bank earnings and conferences.Act as an internal collaborator and liaison for the development of industry specific insights in collaboration with strategy and finance teams.Help produce best-in-class disclosures throughout the yearLiaise with internal partners to answer adhoc questions from various stakeholders (equity analysts, investors, credit rating agencies and management). Manage internal and external assignments and requests for information (e.g. RBC data and statistics, Bloomberg data analysis).Maintain and update excel benchmarking databasesProvide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly insights and analysis on sell-side equity research, industry news and market and economic trends, and share insights with Group Executive.Provide support for upcoming investor day around organization of logistics and production of materials.Assist in coordinating annual credit rating agency presentations.What you need to succeed?
Must Have
Undergraduate degree3+ years’ relevant experience, including investor relationsKnowledge of the financial services industry and/ or broader capital marketsProficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically, PowerPoint and ExcelHighly organized, proactive and committed to quality and accuracyStrong verbal and written communication skills with comfort reviewing complex documentationDemonstrates resourcefulness and curiosity, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high performance environment with multiple and evolving demands, and non-standard working hoursNice to Have
Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet and CRM toolsProject management skillsJob Skills
