Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). 

As a Senior Manager, Inventory Management Services, you will be a results-driven manager tasked with lead planning operations across our aftermarket parts value chain. In this role, you will drive performance, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure supply chain alignment and innovation.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee planning systems and processes to ensure optimal parts availability and inventory turnover in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process quality, efficiency, and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain planning with execution strategies.

• Drive strategic initiatives to improve requirements planning and overall supply chain responsiveness.

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of advanced technical analysts to support business goals.

• Partner with IT to ensure planning systems and emerging technologies meet evolving business needs.

• Champion innovation through thought leadership and advanced data analytics.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• Degree required – Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or similar disciplines.


• Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice.

• Forecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate requirements.

• Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):

• Proven experience in supply chain planning, preferably in aftermarket or parts distribution.

• Strong leadership and team development skills.

• Expertise in SAP SPM SPP planning systems, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies.

• Advanced programming skills utilizing SAS software

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
