Your work will help demonstrate the role of Operations & Technology in Thomson Reuters growth, focusing on educating, engaging, and inspiring the O&T organization and the broader TR community 

About the Role 

In this opportunity as Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will: 

Develop and Implement Communication Plans: Create and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that demonstrate Operations & Technology’s role in Thomson Reuters' growth, focusing on educating, engaging, and inspiring the O&T organization and the broader TR community. Manage Executive Presence: Oversee the Chief Operations & Technology Officer’s and O&T organization’s presence on key internal communications channels, including the intranet, All Hands meetings, newsletters, and more. Lead Communication Projects: Manage communication projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and effective delivery for internal initiatives, events, organizational changes, and more to drive employee engagement. Advise on Communication Strategies: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders in the O&T organization on communication strategies and initiatives to make the best use of channels and content. Measure and Improve Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to inform continuous improvement. Support Crisis Communications: Assist the team in crisis communications, including incidents that hold reputational risk for the business, and be part of a roster for out-of-hours cover. Drive AI Adoption: Lead with an AI-first mindset and help drive the adoption and active usage of AI within Operations & Technology.  

 

About You 

You’re a fit for the role of Senior Manager, Internal Communications if you have the following required qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor's degree is required. 

Fluent English: Proficiency in English is essential. 

Proven Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in creating and executing high-quality internal communications strategies, ideally within a technology/SaaS environment. 

Trusted Advisor: Demonstrated ability to deliver value and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. 

Change Management: Strong experience in change management. 

AI Interest: A keen interest in the application of AI in communications. 

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling messages for various audiences. 

Keen eye: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 

Additional preferred qualifications include: 

Additional Languages: Proficiency in additional languages can be advantageous for communicating with a diverse global workforce 1. 

Public Company Experience: Familiarity with the dynamics of publicly listed companies and dealing with confidential or material information is highly favored 2. 

Industry Experience: Experience in financial services, information services, media, and/or technology industries is an advantage 3. 

Digital Communication Tools: Experience working with digital communication tools and platforms can enhance the effectiveness of communication strategies 4. 

Flexibility Across Time Zones: Ability to manage relationships and work effectively across multiple time zones
