Senior Manager, HR Integration The Senior Manager, HR Integration plays a pivotal role in post-acquisition success by serving as a cultural ambassador and trusted guide for newly acquired teams. This role is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and empathetic onboarding experience, helping employees navigate organizational changes, and foster meaningful connections across departments to accelerate integration.
This position requires a strong on-site presence at newly acquired locations, with an emphasis on relationship-building, clear communication, and cultural alignment. The ideal candidate will be a visible, accessible resource-proactively guiding integration efforts while adapting to employee needs and leadership input.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to build trust, engagement, and clarity for newly acquired employees-helping them feel informed, supported, and connected during times of change. Key indicators include strong cultural alignment and early relationship-building across teams, low early-stage turnover, and positive feedback from both legacy and acquired employees.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
Cultural Onboarding & Orientation
+ Leads in-person onboarding sessions focused on company culture, mission, and values
+ Serves as a visible, approachable presence on-site to support employee transition
+ Translates Company culture in a relatable and accessible way for newly acquired teams
Change Navigation & Employee Support
+ Acts as a trusted resource for employees, providing clarity on changes, expectations, and processes
+ Partners with HR and leadership to address concerns and surface feedback
+ Facilitates Q&A sessions and maintain open lines of communication
Connection Building & Collaboration
+ Proactively introduces acquired employees to legacy teams to foster integration and collaboration
+ Identifies opportunities to connect talent, ideas, and initiatives across the organization
+ Supports cross-functional integration efforts by aligning people and processes
Integration Planning & Execution
+ Collaborates with the M&A Integration team to align with overall strategy and timelines
+ Contributes to the integration playbook by documenting lessons learned and best practices
+ Coordinates Day‑1 readiness, ensuring messaging, materials, and support are aligned
+ Provides real‑time feedback from on‑the‑ground experiences to refine integration practices
+ Monitors, tracks, and reports cultural and engagement metrics post‑acquisition, translating data into actionable insights
+ Maintains the ability to travel, up to or more than 75% of the time
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources or related field (required)
+ MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
Experience:
+ 8+ years of relevant experience, including time spent in M&A, HR, change management or organizational development (required)
+ Demonstrated success in leading integrations or large-scale change initiatives (required)
Critical Success Factors: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
+ Employee Engagement Score (within acquired team) - Target: ≥80% Measured via post-integration pulse surveys or onboarding feedback within the first 90-180 days, reflecting how well acquired employees feel supported, informed, and connected.
+ Time to Cultural Integration Milestones - Target: ≤90 days Tracks the completion of onboarding, team touchpoints, and adoption of key tools/processes within the first 3 months.
+ Early Turnover Rate (first 6 months post-close) - Target: ≤ TBD% Measures voluntary attrition within the acquired group, serving as an indicator of how successful transition and integration efforts have been.

+ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and engaging presence
+ Comfortability in diverse and dynamic environments while onsite and in a highly visible role
+ Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
+ Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
