Discover Impactful Work:The Senior Manager, Global Service Product Development will lead a small scientific team, across technology platforms, providing technical focus and insight, and driving product development to meet Global Services & Support strategy roadmap objectives. They will focus on key areas of responsibility, including leading, coaching, and developing staff while maintaining direct support development responsibility for a subset of product lines. This individual will also act as a key collaborative partner between commercial business units, global service and support colleagues, global quality, and other product development groups in the company.
A Day in the Life:The Senior Manager, Global Service Product Development will have responsibility for providing focus and support in execution to meet or exceed the strategic objectives as follows:
Product CommercializationTeam operational excellence with designing and developing service capabilities for new instruments.
Collaboration with cross-functional partners in launching and sustaining service for new product introductions.
Global Customer FocusBuilds strong customer relationships that enables the delivery of global customer-centric solutions.
People LeadershipBuilds leadership bench strength and orchestrates movement of associates to the right projects in order to optimize output of content.

Through a track record of leading product development, through commercial launch, sustainability and end-of-lifeDemonstration of independence and team leadershipDeep understanding of needs of Life Science academic and clinical customersProven cross-functional relationship developmentKeys to Success:Education and ExperienceB.S. degree in biochemistry, biology or engineering required with a minimum of 10 years meaningful experience (equivalent combinations of education and meaningful work experience may be considered).10+ years of Life Sciences industry experience; preferably including experience in a service and support organization and/or product engineering / R&D.Successful people management experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesDemonstrable expertise in developing product release criteria for services & supportManagement and leadership skills with strong written and verbal communicationFeel at ease communicating regularly with technical and business teamsAbility to work with diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple sitesWillingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)Demonstrates Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.This position does not offer relocation benefits.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
