Senior Manager, Global Prospecting Team
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Role: Senior Manager, Global Prospecting Team A leader who is excited about developing their team’s career and facilitating achievement of goals. The team of 20 are focused on the front-line interactions for Market Intelligence. Engages with Commercial Development Manager and other regional Sales Managers to develop the strategy and diagnose company’s need for all of the Market Intelligence products. Ensures continuing development and improvement of the Prospecting team with the overall objective of shortening response time to incoming queries on our products and increasing quality interactions for introductions to others internally. The Location: Islamabad, Pakistan The Team: The Prospecting Team is responsible for creating more interactions and introductions to our internal teams.   You are part of a broader global team across the Philippines, Pakistan, India, China, Japan, Argentina and North America. This is a new team and you will have an opportunity to be involved as it is set up as well as participate in the selection, development, and direction this team takes as they develop their approach and evolve the team culture. Getting creative with tools to help this team to continuously grow and improve their product knowledge and quality of interactions with external companies. Develop and grow a local team, which aligns with the global team that can identify the right group/users within an organization and engage them in a conversation about the value of our different products, through multiple sources including discovery and individual research. Participate in developing a team strategy, evolving a cadence that is repeatable to drive quality introductions for expanded internal conversations. Participate to manage and enhance a process by working with operations to follow up where there is external interest in our offerings and conduct research to identify companies who will benefit from the value of our offerings. Increase amount of new introductions (companies we have not previously engaged with) by working with various internal teams to define a streamlined approach to increase those introductions. Participate to evolve a robust onboarding and ongoing education experience for the team, in Partner with the Education Team. Grow your own as well as your team’s product knowledge by sitting in with various team members, attending the demos your team has set, and asking for feedback on a regular basis. Create an effective cross-team feedback loop to increase team efficiency and productivity. Build and cultivate a competitive team culture that makes cold calling fun and effective. Create motivating performance incentive awards and competitions. Actively manage the CRM process for easy tracking across all teams, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached. Participate to prepare and analyze the teams efforts (reports and dashboards) and adjust operations as required. Invested in the Commercial Development Representative’s individual career growth. Interact with other S&P Global Commercial Development Representative Teams to align best practices and accelerate evolution of the team. Grow your knowledge of market activities including competitive products, pricing and policies, new technology, product specifications and new products and communicate findings to your manager Required experience and knowledge: Has people management background Has experience with prospecting, telemarketing and/or sales. Knows how to roll up their sleeve and figure it out, make first hand calls to test ideas Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined quotas A proven track record of strong client relationships Excellent client service skills Goal and action orientated, with ability to work towards revenue targets Experience in dealing with challenging situations, i.e. objection handling, overcoming gatekeepers, etc.; you will need to show your team how to do this!
