What you will do
Establish and manage a governance framework for global Record-to-Report (R2R) initiatives related to month-end close, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to socialize project specifications and support timely, effective program rollout across the organization.
Serve as the global subject matter expert for the Month-End Close (MEC) process within the R2R framework
Collaborate with the R2R GPO to define and manage the scope of MEC-related programs and initiatives
Define, document, and maintain global MEC process standards, policies, and procedures.
Drive the implementation of R2R GPO strategies to standardize MEC activities globally
Evaluate and prioritize MEC-related projects and initiatives within the R2R portfolio to optimize resource allocation and maximize business value; may lead staffing, onboarding, and development of direct or matrixed team members
Maintain a strong understanding of MEC objectives and their alignment with broader R2R and organizational goals; prioritize tasks based on strategic impact
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for MEC processes
Analyze close cycle performance and provide insights to improve speed, quality, and transparency
Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools for MEC metrics.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across global, regional, and local finance teams; develop stakeholder engagement strategies to manage diverse expectations and requirements
Gather and incorporate feedback from end users and stakeholders at all levels to continuously improve MEC processes and project outcomes
Implement a robust communications strategy to keep executive leadership informed on MEC program progress, resource utilization, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives
Influence and align cross-functional teams by crafting compelling arguments and gaining consensus across diverse perspectives
Demonstrate tact and diplomacy in navigating complex or politically sensitive situations; remain composed under pressure and resolve conflicts constructively
Consistently deliver results under tight deadlines; proactively take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles to support MEC transformation and excellence
Coach and support teams in effective meeting management and facilitation practices for MEC-related programs and initiatives
What you need
Required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant.
Certified Public Accountant, Registered Accountant or comparable professional certification
10+ years of accounting, audit, or relevant industry experience
Experience with Record to Report, including MEC processes is required
Experience with controls execution
Experience with process mapping and process governance
Preferred
Experience working with Shared Service Center
Experience with process improvement projects (have led or key participant on lean six sigma and automation projects)
$115,600 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
