Position Statement:
The Senior Manager, Global Brands & Commercial Services (GBCS) Finance will provide commercial analytical support for EMEA, APAC and CALA regions. The position will be responsible for developing effective business relationships with all key GBCS stakeholders, and to provide insightful analytical support to help drive top line commercial performance, devising and executing strategies to deliver against current and future global priorities. The position will assist with processes that align reporting conventions across the Global Brands and Commercial Services organization in conjunction with FP&A and Corporate Accounting. The position will be responsible for proactively documenting and prioritizing tasks to ensure optimal financial results and coordinate annual business planning process.
What will I be doing?
Position Summary:
Planning Activities (30%)
• Identify financial and/or operational opportunity and drive results through detailed analysis of operating financials, including development of annual operating plans
• Utilize current and develop new tools and processes to support Global Brands & Commercial Services. Processes and tools should be built to scale globally and across functions. Examples include streamlined/consistent forecasting process, expedited and consistent monthly close processes, etc.
• Researches and helps to identify regional business drivers for Global Brands & Commercial Services and reports findings and conclusions to upper management.
• Documents and evaluates allocation processes internal to GBCS, coming in and out of GBCS. and educates stakeholders on opportunities/sensitivities to streamline and/or automate.
• Coordinates the development of a monthly performance report spanning GBCS functions, focusing on cost drivers, trends, and identifying corrective action.
Organising Activities (30%)
• Work with key stakeholders and departments, structuring the resources and activities of the department/project so objectives are accomplished.
• Disseminates, organizes and communicates regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments, including, but not limited to FP&A. senior finance leadership, and senior GBCS leadership
• Evaluates and streamlines business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
• Manages the cross-functional links between Finance. Operations, Brands, and Commercial Services.
• Establishes priorities and delegates work to team members accordingly, while ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
• Supports other corporate initiatives, including, but not limited to, financial systems-related projects
• Support all GBCS function with the annual budget
• Support all GBCS function with the monthly re-forecast
• Provision of finance support to non-finance stakeholders
• Support global commercial projects and required roll outs
• Support corporate HQ GBCS team as required
• Provide necessary guidance to corporate accounting as and when required
• Ad hoc analysis as requested
• Continued review of IT deferral and Brand Fund balances
Directing and Staffing Activities (20%)
• Works with direct reports to help set goals to assist in accomplishing department initiatives.
• Implements and manages departmental processes and procedures to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out and in accordance with department and company objectives.
• Provides direction and directives to the departmental team members in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and achieving management objectives.
• Communicates important and necessary information to team members via memos, reports and phone calls.
• Informs upper management of department’ s progress and advises them on key issues to help the decision-making process, particularly as it relates to current and forward financial performance and opportunities.
• Collaborates with HR on the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, and developing of his/her team members.
Controlling Activities (20%)
• Enforces policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the department and Company.
• Develop and leverage forecasting and reporting systems to support global operating expense requirements
• Assesses actual performance against target to determine whether GBCS is on target to reach goals and takes corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensures business plans are being followed regionally, and goals are being achieved and provides feedback accordingly.
Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
• Prepare special projects on a regular basis, including business case, contract analysis, project analysis. NPV analysis, etc.
• Any and all other Job duties as assigned.

• BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in lieu thereof
• Progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and/or Corporate Accounting/Finance with managerial and corporate expense allocation experience
