This position is based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and reports to the Director, Legal, North America Residential Solutions in the Climate Solutions Americas business segment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide legal counsel and service on broad range of areas to Carrier Energy and Carrier Climate Solutions business clients concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of corporations to ensure that corporate interests are well-represented. + Negotiate contracts with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners involving commercial and residential energy management systems and related equipment, service, and other Carrier-offerings and ensure compliance with Carrier’s overall strategy and policies. + Provide guidance on developing industry of energy management, including regulatory requirements. + Coordinate with internal Centers of Excellence to provide full-scale legal support for business. + Advise business on compliance risks and assist in closing compliance gaps by providing practical training and implementing corporate policies and procedures. **Required Qualifications:** + Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited US law school + Bar Admission in any US state + 6+ years of law firm experience or in-house corporate/commercial experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in contracts, utilities/energy, commercial litigation, technology, or corporate law + Experience advising in manufacturing/technology, including factory and supply chain + Experience with demand response programs, VPPs, or distributed energy resources (DER) + Excellent written and communication skills + Consultative, strategic, and solution-focused business partner with a growth mindset + Ability to resolve conflict in a business-oriented approach with ability to prioritize and manage competing demands \#LI-onsite RSRCAR **_Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
