Leads and directs the activities of multiple large departments or several managers and specialists.

As the leader of this team, you will be accountable for developing a team of managers and specialist in leading the charge in advancing strategic investment product opportunities, presenting innovative ideas to mitigate risks, and optimizing product integration and launches. Your role will involve anticipating challenges and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, e.g. PRD, Investment Management Group, Institutional, and FAS, to ensure seamless execution of fund events. Dive deep into the end-to-end product portfolio lifecycle and be a part of paving the way for new product types and successful product launches.
Core Responsibilities:
+ Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
+ Manages multi-year, cross-divisional programs independently as a program lead. Drives all phases of the program lifecycle from inception through implementation while ensuring that business objectives are delivered with high quality and within targeted timeframes.
+ Creates and maintains a multi-year program strategy that clearly identifies specific actions and tasks needed to achieve future state goals. Drives communication to many different audiences within Vanguard on the overall goals and outcomes of the program.
+ Builds and maintains strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support their program initiatives. Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads.
+ Holds responsibility over program budget; monitoring cost variances, and forecasting and allocating program costs. Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements.
+ Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of ten years of related business experience, with at least six years of project management experience. Previous people-leadership experience strongly preferred.
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
