We Are Brookfield Properties:We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York, NY. In this role you will support and execute multiple design projects across its commercial real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design process directly with tenants, from concept through move-in, ensuring that the design solutions meet tenant expectations, align with their brand standards, and are executed within scope and budget.
You will work closely with the internal Design team and Real Estate Experience group, as well as asset management and construction teams, to deliver tenant relocation projects, tenant feasibility studies, tenant FF&E packages, and capital improvements. This is a tenant-facing role that requires strong design and management sensibilities, the ability to build strong working relationships, and a deep commitment to delivering an exceptional tenant experience across all phases of the project.
This position is ideal for a creative, self-driven individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing both project ownership as a manager and hands-on design responsibilities as an individual contributor.
Role & Responsibilities:Lead the design process with tenants, serving as the primary design contact to guide space planning test fits, all design phases, and furniture selections if applicableDeliver outstanding service by listening to tenant needs, providing design solutions that reflect their brand and business goals, and ensuring responsiveness throughout the projectManage the design of projects across all phases, including Testfit, SD, DD, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, and furniture procurementOversee consultant teams and FFE vendors to deliver projects within budget and scheduleConduct and manage tenant feasibility studies and testfits to assess space options and drive decision-making processes. Develop test fits as needed with Bluebeam or Autocad; Markup drawings from consultants to provide design directionLead furniture/ art/ accessories selection, finishes, and develop FF&E presentations, ensuring alignment with the project vision and tenant feedback; Source finish samples to present curated options to tenantsTake a hands-on approach in finding and sourcing finish samples, light fixtures, etc., from our materials library to provide directions to the design architectManage multiple projects in different phases concurrently with different consultant teams consisting of architects, engineers, etc.Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, including Construction, workplace operations, and technology teams, among othersSupport the development of team and cross-functional initiatives to reinforce business objectivesIdentify design ideas, trends, and new product specifications to evolve our design standards and innovate our physical workplace productsBuild a positive culture on our growing team and have significant input to our design vision, strategy, and executionDevelop and maintain project schedules, as well as reporting and mitigating deviationsBudget reporting for purposes of project approval, tenant (or other) allocations, requisition approvals, as well as any project-specific reporting needsYour Qualifications:Previous experience in a client-facing role or customer successMinimum 8-10 years of commercial real estate architecture and interiors experienceExperience with Class-A office a must; exposure to other property types (i.e., mixed use, retail, and multifamily) highly preferredExperience and knowledge of the construction process as it relates to design, both in terms of relative cost and constructabilityExperience and knowledge of MEP/FP, acoustics, structural engineering, FF&E, AV/IT/Security, lighting design, and NYC building code and permitting processesExperience leading teams of consultants/vendors to deliver a project from start to closeoutWorking knowledge of material and furniture specificationsStrong communication skills to present design ideas to stakeholdersProficient in BluebeamKnowledge in Procore and AutoCADYour Career @ Brookfield Properties:At Brookfield Properties, your career progression is important to us. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
