About the Role

This position offers an outstanding opportunity to lead our strategic privileged access management (PAM) transformation across a global organization of over 100,000 colleagues. As a Senior Manager, Cyber Security at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will lead budgets, develop PAM strategies, and guide teams to achieve outstanding organizational objectives. You will drive the transformation of enterprise secrets to industry standard methodologies while encouraging collaboration and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

People & Team Management

Set clear goals and success metrics for PAM team members to drive performance and accountability.Generate team-level critical metrics for PAM operations, provide actionable feedback, and report progress on secrets hardening and compliance metrics.Guide and support team members in PAM implementations, promoting autonomy and team ownership of privileged access initiatives.Conduct PMD evaluations for PAM team members, focusing on technical growth and leadership development.Establish and lead team operating mechanisms including 1:1s, stand-ups, and quarterly reviews to ensure alignment and communication.

PAM Program Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement a comprehensive PAM team strategy for owned functional areas and privileged access products.Own PAM workstreams and processes, driving enterprise-wide secrets transformation.Drive PAM projects and team workstreams, advising leadership as on security posture.Champion PAM excellence across the organization, serving as the shining light for accurate secrets management practices!

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience accepted).PAM certifications required: CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer, BeyondTrust Professional Services, or equivalent.Leadership certifications preferred: PMP, CISSP, CISM, or similar management and security leadership credentials.Additional certifications encouraged: Executive leadership development, change management, or organizational transformation.

Experience

8+ years of enterprise security experience with a focus on privileged access management and team leadership.5+ years of people management experience leading technical teams in large-scale environments.4+ years of hands-on PAM program management experience with massive enterprise secret volumes.Verified experience of leading initiatives and breaking organizations free from legacy practices.

Leadership & Management Skills

Outstanding people leadership abilities with experience leading diverse technical teams.Critical thinking and planning with capability to develop and implement 12-24 month PAM roadmaps.Experience leading budgets with the ability to prepare compelling arguments and handle vendor relationships.Change management expertise with a track record of driving organizational transformation in security domains.Excellent verbal skills with ability to present to executive audiences and influence without authority.Strong decision-making capabilities with experience making team-level PAM decisions in large environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $117,000.00–$175,500.00.
