About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the governance framework for corporate solutions’ activities related to group insurance and pension in Hong Kong and Macau. This pivotal role ensures compliance, drives operational excellence, and aligns with corporate policies, while managing regulatory reporting, due diligence, KYC/AML, eMPF onboarding, training and outsourcing management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

eMPF Onboarding Project Management (Primary Duty for First 6-9 Months)   Act as the project manager for the eMPF onboarding process, overseeing and coordinating all pre- and post-onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition and compliance with mandatory guidelines.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address onboarding issues, manage timelines, and ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.  Monitor and resolve operational challenges, facilitating effective communication between internal teams, external vendors, MPFA and other stakeholders throughout the onboarding process.  
Governance, Compliance, and Quality Assurance   Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust governance framework for corporate solutions activities related to group insurance and pension in Hong Kong and Macau.  Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and industry best practices.  Oversee the preparation, submission, and accuracy of regulatory reports in a timely manner.  Conduct regular reviews of internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving regulations, including KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements.  Establish and implement quality assurance (QA) processes for group insurance and pension operations, ensuring adherence to corporate standards and regulatory requirements.  Perform regular audits and quality checks on group policies and pension processes to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and ensure consistent service delivery. Collaborate with teams to resolve QA issues, implement corrective actions, and enhance operational workflows.  
Operational Excellence Drive operational efficiency and ensure adherence to corporate standards for group insurance and pension operations.  Identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Training and DevelopmentDevelop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of governance, compliance, and operational requirements across teams.  Ensure employees and third-party vendors adhere to corporate policies and regulatory guidelines through ongoing education and support.  
Stakeholder CollaborationAct as the key liaison with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and resolution of compliance issues.  Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to support business objectives and compliance efforts.  Strategic AlignmentAlign governance practices with corporate strategies and objectives, fostering a culture of compliance and operational excellence.  Monitor market trends and regulatory changes, providing strategic advice to leadership on the potential impacts and opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Legal, Compliance or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.8+ years in group policies and/or pension operations, compliance, or risk management.Demonstrated expertise in KYC/AML, eMPF onboarding, due diligence, outsourcing management, and risk assessments.In-depth knowledge of pension, group insurance and regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and Macau.Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to address conduct and compliance issues effectively.Proven ability to design and deliver impactful training on governance, ethics, and conduct.Proficiency with compliance, risk, and KYC/AML management tools.Proficient in English and Chinese, spoken and written, Putonghua a plus
