General Summary:
The Senior Manager, Compute Consumer Channel Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the consumer channel sales strategy and identifying new opportunities to drive revenue and grow share of PCs enabled by Qualcomm Snapdragon technologies at large European (Focus: Spain, Italy and Portugal) consumer electronics retailers. The role requires deep engagement with PC OEM Consumer sales teams and top Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian consumer electronics retailers as well as Microsoft. The Senior Manager, Compute Consumer Channel Sales will have had extensive experience in developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. She or he will have managed to sales targets and goals. The understanding of technically complex products and experience on how to position these to a broad audience are critical.
Responsibilities Include the followingBuild channel account plans with top consumer electronics retail partners, track progress, identify and address gaps to land a successful portfolio of devices in the marketOwn and drive channel analytics for the Compute segment feeding high-value insights into product strategy, leadership meetings as well as customer discussionsBuilding pipeline, reviewing pipeline, and forecasting as well as providing additional required supportManaging relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and sales sharing best practicesResponsible for managing relationships with key partners and vendorsSkills/ExperienceDeep expertise of the Consumer Retail and Go-To-Market motion for PC OEMsIntimate knowledge of the partner and customer engagement model, timelines and decision points to help align, intercept and influence decisions to assort and sell through a winning Windows on Snapdragon portfolioSales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of PC OEMs & consumer electronics marketsStrategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customersExperience in sell-out and go-to-market with consumer electronics retailers and e-tailers in co-operation with PC OEMsExpert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile and PC technologiesProficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, desktops, tablets, & mobileExperience in negotiating and managing pricing & Marketing funds with large consumer electronics channel partnersAbility to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externallyGood communication and interpersonal skillsCreative problem solving with strong analytical skillsSelf-motivated and result-drivenPreferred Qualifications8+ years consumer channel (retail, online) and marketing experience in technology companiesSpanish or Italian as a native language and fluent EnglishKnowledge of both Spanish and Italian is a strong advantage for collaboration with Southern European partnersMaster’s degree in business or technology preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build trusting, collaborative relationships and rapport with senior business stakeholdersAbility to convey information clearly and accurately with great credibilityAbility to be organized, resourceful and adaptableBachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or related business field8+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in PC industry and/or large consumer electronics retailerLanguage skills dependent on location10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in PC industry and/or large consumer electronics retailer*References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
