KBR is seeking a Senior Manager, Commissioning, Startup and Operations – Ammonia Technology professional to join the Integrated Solutions - Americas - Commissioning team. This SME reports to the Global Commissioning and Start up Services Group with a matrix responsibility to the Project Directors during project execution. This role will be responsible for planning and execution of all pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and initial operation activities on Major EPC projects (Ammonia and Urea) including home office, and project job sites (domestic, international).

In collaboration with other SMEs (engineering, construction, and project management), this incumbent will develop creative / innovative work processes and standards, and ensure compliance and safe practices for the Commissioning and Startup Services (CSS) Dept.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Establishes and maintains global CSS processes, procedures and technical standards related to Ammonia/Urea Technology.

Provides technology guidance/oversight to the CSS Department and project teams.

Provides Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and feedback analysis for ongoing projects/proposals.

Interacts with the Ammonia Technology Business Unit counterparts, as required.

Provides guidance and development (training) for personnel to support ongoing and future project requirements.

Oversees preparation of (and approves) CSS estimates in support of proposal activities.

Supervises the commissioning managers in their assigned duties.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in the Ammonia and Urea industry.

Minimum of ten (10) years of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up experience in international and domestic projects.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction Management. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Intermediate software skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and Power Point.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is desirable.

Familiarity with nitric acid and UAN is desirable.

Specific Requirements

Experience with requirements for modular development

Provide guidance and oversight for the development of verification records leading to systems completion and milestone achievement.

Familiar with Completions Management Systems and project systemization.

Familiar with Project Management practices

Verifiable leadership and management skill set.
