We are looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial Project Management to join our team working for a better future. This can be a hybrid position, working from home and a min. 60% local office in Sydney, Australia. 

What you will be doing :
Battery Energy Storage is growing rapidly in Australia, so we are looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial Project Management to lead the planning function for Energy Storage sales projects.
This position requires a high performing and experienced Project Management professional. 
As the Senior Manager, Commercial Project Manager your work will focus on these responsibilities: 
Lead and manage the commercial project management and project planning team in Energy Storage
Lead project planning in sales opportunities in Energy Storage
Take a leading role in the negotiation of acceptable and executable project delivery contracts.
Prepare, update and report project execution plan, cost budget, project schedule, project receivables and contract completion milestones.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on contract expectations. Identifies opportunities for additional sales towards customer.
Develop risk response strategy and plan. Manage contract requirements, risks and issues.
Manage Energy storage customer contracts and act as customer´s first contact point during project sales
Lead and coach commercial project team members involved in planning of Energy storage projects
Lead and coach project team members involved in scheduling of Energy storage projects
Demonstrate leadership by following Wärtsilä Project Management Methodology and Business Directives
Apply Project Management best practices 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have : 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
•    B.Sc. or M.Sc. in management or engineering (or similar)
•    Project Management experience (minimum 5 years)
•    Leadership experience and skills
•    Good negotiation and presentation skills 
•    Cost awareness & effectiveness
•    Excellent teamwork skills
•    Proactive attitude and positive Can-Do mind-set 

(In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.)
