Senior Manager, Commercial IT, Commercial Data & Analytics Technologies
**Job Summary** This role is designed to be a key partner for various Otsuka commercial business areas and IT teams to assess business needs, identify potential solutions, and implement various data and analytics solutions across the US Commercial organization. Key subject areas of focus will be both internal Otsuka customers as well as Otsuka Patient and Healthcare provider's needs. This will be a dynamic role involving collaborating with Global & US Commercial business teams, various IT teams and external partners, on developing technology roadmaps, assessing new technologies and data management best practices and implementing desired solutions for the commercial data and analytics domains. **Job Description** The Senior Manager for Commercial Data and Analytics role involves engaging commercial operations teams, data and analytics teams, brand marketing teams, and cross-functional IT teams to translate business requirements for data management and analytics solutions into functional specifications and technical designs with focus on projects delivery, user-experience, and usability. The candidate will be accountable for the delivery of data and analytics solutions in support of key Global & US market commercial initiatives, working with internal team members and multiple partners to drive agility, governance, solution design, quality, financial transparency, and best practices. Additionally, the Senior Manager role will collaborate with cross-functional Data & Analytics (D&A), Commercial Operations and IT teams, and external partners to assess new initiatives and technologies, propose recommendations, and plan and execute related initiatives. The position will report to the Sr. Director, Business Platforms Lead, Commercial IT. **Key Responsibilities Include:** + **Technology and Solution Management** : Analyze data and analytics technologies and data management tools in order to leverage and apply the relevant technology solutions to enable business capabilities. Implement the technical capabilities and necessary support activities. Contribute to define IT Technology roadmap + **Governance:** Assist in building and maintaining a project portfolio for assigned area working with cross functional stakeholders to gain alignment. Drive prioritization of the backlog; shape and manage demand. Coordinate closely with the IT Portfolio and Project Management Office + **Subject Matter Expert** : Serve as a SME for assigned area, understand business needs, maintain awareness of industry trends, and provide recommendations to facilitate decision making. + **Financial Management** : Participate in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts and re-plans. Manage the IT budget for assigned projects, and related technology platforms. + **Vendor Management** : Participate in vendors evaluation, selection, and management for assigned projects, working with the procurement organization. + **Service Management** : Assist in providing oversight for the day-to-day operations of assigned area working with the support partners. Align with relevant IT teams to apply necessary incident and change management best practices and tools. Measure KPIs and drive teams to achieve operational excellence. **Specific Job Responsibilities:** + End-to-End ownership of data and analytics project delivery for Global Commercial Data and Analytics teams. Apply best practices and oversee the governance of project delivery to ensure consistent and efficient engagement between internal teams and partners. Projects may include the evaluation and implementation of new data management platforms, new data sets, new data management capabilities, new data warehouse subject areas, data governance initiatives, Omni Channel customer engagement capabilities and advanced analytics/AI/ML based technologies. + Evaluate and implement new capabilities to meet business needs leveraging existing and emerging data & analytics technologies, including Enterprise Data Management Platforms, Commercial Analytics Technologies, Triggers Engine / Next Best Action, AI, ML, etc. + Assess and document Data and Analytics technology roadmaps to align strategically with business and IT strategies & path forward plans. **Qualifications:** **Required** + Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent is required. + Minimum 10 years of Commercial pharma data and analytics technology related experience is required. + Experience with AWS and Snowflake + Proven leadership experience in a solutions delivery IT lead role + Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. + Proficiency using collaboration tools, like Office 365 or similar + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. + An understanding of systems development lifecycle change management methodologies + Solid Understanding of advanced analytics methods and technologies + Solid Understanding of data warehousing, data lake, data management technologies and platforms + Up to 10% travel is required based upon business needs **Preferred** + Experience with Office 365, Teams, Azure Dev Ops and similar modern collaboration tools + Working knowledge or certifications in AWS, Data Warehousing, and past experiences with AI / ML technologies for predictive analytics implementations + Strong understanding of databases, integration method, APIs, and cloud hosting technologies like AWS is highly desirable. **Skills and Competencies:** + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities + Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships + Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment + Ability to manage multiple projects compliantly, efficiently, and effectively **Competencies** **Accountability for Results -** Stay focused on key strategic objectives, be accountable for high standards of performance, and take an active role in leading change. **Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving -** Make decisions considering the long-term impact to customers, patients, employees, and the business. **Patient & Customer Centricity -** Maintain an ongoing focus on the needs of our customers and/or key stakeholders. **Impactful Communication -** Communicate with logic, clarity, and respect. Minimum $146,955.00 - Maximum $210,100.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work.
