Senior Manager, Channel Performance & Optimization

Job Description

What is the opportunity?​

You will join the Channel Performance, Initiatives & Analytics team in RBC’s Digital & Personal Distribution (DPD), and play a critical role in managing the Advice Centre performance reporting that informs senior leadership decisions and drives business outcomes. This role blends advanced analytics, strategic insight generation, and operational optimization, spanning both channel performance and benefits management. You will collaborate with multiple high-level stakeholders across business lines to identify opportunities for improved performance, operational efficiency, and enhanced client and employee experience.

What will you do?

Lead the development and enhancement of business performance reports, ensuring accuracy, insightful commentary, and alignment with the channel’s strategic pillars.Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, foster collaboration, and support strategic decision-making.Manage the benefits portfolio, identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies, and establish rigorous governance processes around initiatives.Set up tracking mechanism to monitor implementation progress against benefits’ targets and identify any risks or opportunities to meeting targets.Apply advanced analytical techniques, such as predictive modeling, segmentation, and correlation analysis, to uncover performance drivers, identify opportunities, and support data-driven decisions.Act as a key contributor to national initiatives and strategic projects, leading analysis, generating insights, and creating executive-ready materials that influence long-term channel strategy.Regularly report to senior leadership with insights, risks, and recommendations. Ensure clarity and consistency in reporting and presentations, tailoring the content to suit executive-level audiences.Balance multiple priorities, ad-hoc requests, and long-term initiatives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, using data storytelling to communicate complex insights clearly.

**Note: The successful candidate may be required to work from both the RBC Meadowvale Centre in Mississauga and RBC Waterpark Place in Toronto 4 days per week**

What do you need to succeed?

 Must have:

Undergraduate degree with 5-8 years of progressive experience in dynamic and complex business environment.Strong ability to collect, analyze and interpret large complex data sets to find patterns and draw actionable conclusions.Strategic thinking and the ability to align metrics to strategic objectives to measure progress against business outcomes.Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools like Excel and Tableau.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated success in managing high-level reviews and navigating organizational dynamics.Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.Experience creating and presenting executive level reports and presentations synthesizing complex information into a simple coherent story.Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have: 

Knowledge in channel operation and performance including the Advice Centre, Digital, and/or Physical Networks channels.Experience leading or supporting strategic initiatives across departments, particularly in environments focused on operational efficiencies.Exposure to enterprise transformational programs and the ability to assess how emerging technologies (e.g. AI tools) can be leveraged to drive operational efficiencies.MBA, PMP, or CPA is a plus
