**12-month contract**
The Senior Manager, Change Management will contribute to the overall success of the Risk Transformation Program within Global Risk Management (GRM). The Risk Transformation Program is a significant multi-year investment for Scotiabank. The key objective of the program is to strengthen the effectiveness of the Bank’s risk function through sustainable process enhancements and updated target operating models.
Reporting to the Director, Transformation Lead, the Senior Manager will focus on the people side of change derived from changes made to business processes, policies, systems, technology, roles and responsibilities, culture and organizational structure and work closely with the GRM Transformation Management Office to ensure coordination and cohesive approach across risk stripes.The role will lead and/or support the initiative teams in the development of change management strategies, playbooks, processes, learning, tools and resources to execute, manage change and achieve the overall Transformation program objectives.
The incumbent will work in a highly dynamic project environment and is expected to integrate multiple, multifunctional projects while quickly adapting to evolving business priorities. As well, the incumbent will facilitate design and delivery of change initiatives including defining scope, establishing change programs (inclusive of communications) and managing resistance.
**Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:**
+ Leads and/or supports the business in the development and execution of Change Management activities leveraging the established methodology for change.
+ Contributes to the development of the strategy, strategic priorities, long term vision and plan leveraging GRM’s Transformation Management Office’s tools and resources.
+ Aligns change management’s priorities and initiatives to the GRM and the Bank’s strategic priorities to effectively identify challenges and opportunities
+ Assesses change impact by conducting impact analyses, identifying key stakeholders, assessing change readiness, analyzing and preparing risk mitigation tactics; identifying and managing anticipated resistance
+ Coordinates with other Change Management experts within the Transformation program to ensure a cohesive and consistent way of messaging
+ Prepares a range of communications to socialize changes with GRM teams, senior leadership and sponsors, including briefing materials, plans, and presentations.
+ Supports and/or/ collaborates to create tools for managers and employees for implementing sustainable change to ensure effective delivery of change management strategy programs.
+ Acts as the key point of contact for the Transformation Management Office and program stakeholders in relation to change management requirements and plans.
+ Coordinates with the LatAm and Caribbean Risk Regionalization team to ensure interconnectedness across workstreams
+ Supports calendaring of all planning steps including change management strategy planning and business planning/alignment in collaboration with business partners
+ Tracks, monitors and communicates the progress of initiatives against defined project milestones to ensure progress versus expectations.
+ Establishes a two-way communication process with project participants, Senior Management and all other stakeholders to maintain support, negotiate priorities and ensure the change initiatives stay on track.
+ As a component of each project, design, development, deliver and manage of communications - in order to deliver a single consistent message across the organization and initiatives
+ Works with Communication and Learning and Development teams: Guide training efforts, providing input, documenting requirements and supporting the design and delivery of training programs as required
+ Facilitates coordination between internal stakeholders within the risk stripe to bridge silos and enable alignment across teams throughout all stages of development and execution; this includes identifying strategic communication opportunities.
+ Contributes to the planning and execution of Leadership Forums, Partner Sessions, etc. and synthesizes findings, common themes, lessons learned and presents clear recommendations, and implementation plans to ensure impactful project outcomes
+ Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
+ Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:**
+ **Bachelor's** **degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in Change Management, Learning and Development and/or communications**
+ **Excellent written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with internal and external parties**
+ **Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential**
+ Demonstrable success in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives and managing projects involving functionally diverse stakeholders.
+ **Results oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.**
+ **Self-reliant and pro-active approach to work**
+ **PROSCI certified an asset**
+ **French or Spanish an asset**
