Overview This position helps REI succeed by leading and supporting a team of Project Managers. The team plans and manages complex omni channel campaigns in the GTM portfolio. To be successful, this role needs exceptional interpersonal and diplomatic skills. The person must build relationships easily at all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives. The Senior Manager is directly responsible for providing regular updates on the GTM project portfolio. The Senior Manager also partners with executives across divisions to escalate, resolve, and remove barriers for the team. The ideal candidate has transformational, operational, and technical skills. This person also has exceptional communication and organizational abilities. The candidate manages and supports teams by improving daily operations and complex processes. They use various methods and tools to solve problems and reduce business, operational, and resource inefficiencies. Responsibilities and Qualifications Strategic thinking: Sets the vision and guides a team of project managers. Thinks strategically about the big picture while managing programs effectively. Drive decision making: With deep experience working within operating governance models fueled by insights and data, I enable business agility. I also support effective and efficient ways of working. Program alignment and integration: Aligning program goals with organizational strategy and integrating project deliverables into a coherent whole. Project management: Ability to oversee and manage omni channel marketing programs across many campaigns. Communicate key milestones and flag risks and tradeoffs early. Provide flexible, solutions-oriented approaches with cross-functional partners. Operating Models: Solid understanding of traditional project management principles and practices. Working familiarity with Agile models and the ability to blend them based on project requirements. System mindset: Facilitates forward-looking perspectives to ensure organizational thinking around efficiency (automation) and effectiveness (scale) to ensure PMO capability and readiness. Agile Methodology: Ability to use Agile methods by creating a test-and-learn culture. This allows for iterative progress, quick adaptation, and ongoing improvement. Encourages experimentation and teamwork to speed up delivery and improve results. Process Improvement: Partners with managers and team members to review current GTM processes. Identifies improvement opportunities and helps design and implement solutions. Guides and encourages a culture of continuous improvement. Adaptability: Continually assesses and refines the operating model and processes to create repeatability and enhance scalability. Leadership voice: Serves as a guide for the team and broader stakeholders. Ensures long-term strategies connect to near-term execution plans. Technical understanding: Quickly develop and maintain a deep understanding of our campaign delivery mechanisms. This will support effective problem-solving, prioritization, and rapid project execution. Stakeholder Coordination: Identifies and coordinates interdependencies across various departments and functions, to promote close partnerships, break down silos and drive shared goals. Resource planning: Partners with the Marketing Ops planning team and department managers. Maintains balance between priorities, operational design, efficiency, headcount planning, modeling, and hiring. Collaborative problem solver: Collaborates with Mktg Operations peers on system, tool, and technology dependencies. Supports projects within the Go to Market system. Portfolio communications: Manages deadlines and project details through regular and ongoing communication with Marketing and Cross-Divisional partners. People management: Manage multiple direct reports and build a high-performing team of strategic thought partners. Provide coaching and support career growth. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed Marketing Strategy, Integrated Marketing and Marketing Operations PMO. Over 7 years of experience managing a team of Project Managers. The team has experience with various process models, from traditional Waterfall to Agile. 7+ years experience designing, developing, and deploying data driven operating models that enable business agility with strategic impact. Demonstrated experience with Marketing tooling such as Workfront, Smartsheets for portfolio & project planning, tracking, and reporting. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office business applications: Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Exceptional business acumen, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills. Demonstrated exceptional leadership and proven ability to straddle big picture strategy and downstream operational excellence. Ability to build and foster exceptional relationships within and outside of the organization from individual contributors to senior leadership. Exceptional manager, collaborator, and ability to influence others on one's own team and cross-divisionally for the achievement of business goals. Team organizer, builder, and motivator with exceptional influencing skills who can exercise judgment related to prioritization and risk management. Preferred Qualifications Baseline understanding of software development processes and engagement methodologies.
