The Balance Sheet Market Risk team provides independent risk oversight of the Bank’s structural balance sheet risks (Structural Interest Rate Risk & FX risks), in addition to transfer pricing, hedging and investing strategies executed by Group Treasury (GT) and other treasury units. The Senior Manager will focus on the second line oversight of the structural balance sheet risks, with a focus on measurement, balance sheet trends, model parameter setting as well as leading the ongoing independent review of the first line. The senior manager will assist the Director in providing high quality insights on the Bank’s SIRR and FX risk profiles to senior management and the Board of Directors, as appropriate. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:** • Oversees the structural interest rate risk of the Bank alongside other senior managers, ensuring effective communication to management regarding risk metric monitoring and market conditions • Acting in an effective second line challenge role, seek opportunities for the Bank to align interest rate risk, liquidity risk and fund transfer pricing measurement more effectively, identifying gaps to be addressed • Provides oversight for the production of timely and accurate reports that highlight key business, treasury, and peer bank activities, as well as risk metrics for stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Treasury Risk Committee (TRC), external stakeholders (OSFI), and Senior Management of TFRM and Group Treasury (GT) • Establishes and leads ongoing independent reviews of the first line, focusing on the adequacy and effectiveness of processes, and provides a grade assessment of each component to the TRC and ALCO at least annually • Provide ongoing second line review and challenge on ALM modeling parameter setting & measurement, acting as a liaison between the Group Treasury Modelling team and Model Validation. Collaborate with key business partners to recommend changes, when necessary, to facilitate process improvement, business growth, market changes and mandate revisions • Work with GT stakeholders to maintain and update the structural interest rate risk framework to properly capture the Bank's ALM managemetn process • Participate in ad hoc analysis, special projects and working group meetings as required **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
