What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Global Security – HR Digital Solutions to lead our HR application security function. This role is responsible for the secure design, configuration, and management of access for our global Workday and SAP HR systems. You will lead a team of professionals who manage access provisioning, security role design, and system configuration. In this role, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders—including the Workday platform team, HR, IT, and Compliance—to ensure security solutions align with business needs and governance standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of application security with leadership capability, risk awareness, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
What is the opportunity?
Lead, coach, and manage a team of HR application security professionals supporting global Workday and SAP environments.Oversee end-to-end application security operations including access provisioning, role design and configuration, and control monitoring.Foster strong partnerships with Workday domain leads and enable the team to effectively support ongoing security-related changes that align with evolving business and platform needs.Guide the team in evaluating and implementing security role designs that align with internal controls, while proactively identifying and managing potential risks, including segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts.Partner with senior stakeholders across business and technology to align access solutions with operational needs while maintaining governance standards.Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex security issues and exceptions.Lead efforts to continuously improve team processes, automate manual tasks, and ensure audit readiness.Support the team to stay informed of system updates, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in application security.Promote ongoing learning and professional development within the team to support evolving business and technology requirements.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
8+ years of experience in enterprise application security, with hands-on experience in Workday and SAP security configuration and management.Proven experience leading or managing technical teams with a focus on mentoring, accountability, and operational excellence.Strong understanding of role-based access control, governance frameworks, and application security best practices.Ability to assess and manage risk in access decisions, and to clearly communicate implications to business partners.Skilled in building relationships and guiding conversations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Nice to have:
Experience working in a global and regulated environment (e.g., SOX, GDPR).Familiarity with HR modules and business processes in Workday and SAP.Exposure to audit processes, risk assessments, and compliance remediation.Workday Pro Certification in Security or other relevant domainsExperience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.Strong interest in learning, staying current with security trends, and enabling team development.What do you need to succeed?
