Primary Job Functions
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Ensure a timely and accurate 4-day close Ensure controls are operating effectively and, if not, be proactive in remediation efforts Provide formal supervision to employees to include A/P, GL & Sox Compliance and other areas as needed. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Coordinate audits, both domestic and foreign Work with management to establish departmental priorities to meet deadlines. Refine financial policies and procedures. Work with the Operations team to support initiatives within the business. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal. Significantly improves and challenges existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in government contracting, including working knowledge of FAR and CAS Demonstrated Deltek Costpoint experience Demonstrated experience leading a team Demonstrated experience with Sarbanes Oxley Ability to pivot quickly resolve issues that unexpectedly arise Experience in a multi-national company Partnership mindset with other organizations including HR, FP&A, Operations and Corporate Controllership Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. Active CPA preferred Experience with ERP implementations preferred
