If you are eager to contribute to enabling data science platforms that enhance the customer journey, we invite you to join us as a Senior Platform Engineer for Data Science Platforms.In this role, you will be responsible for developing solutions to support the delivery of product roadmaps for multiple data science platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:Collaboration: Engage with technical product managers, architects, and other members of the organization to design and deliver solutions that address business needs.Solution Development: Develop and implement robust solutions that facilitate the effective delivery of data science initiatives.Testing and Documentation: Test the solutions, update Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation, and release capabilities as part of specific product releases.Excellence in Delivery: Drive excellence in continuous delivery, site reliability, and cost efficiency of AI/ML platforms hosted on AWS.As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will have the opportunity to engage and collaborate in emerging areas such as security and efficiency of hosting Large Language Models or provisioning infrastructure for agent-based systems. You will be part of high-performing platform and data science engineering teams spanning multiple time zones.What you'll doBuild capabilities within multiple Data Science platforms based on customer needs.  This may include Posit, Dataiku or Databricks platform upgrades and modernization, building custom platform capabilities using various coding languages (R, Python etc.), using AWS services, building CI/CD deployment solutions, monitoring the platforms, and building platform automation scripts.Collaborate with different product teams to design and develop platform integrations.Work with Product Managers and architects to design technical solution to address business needs, develop technical documentation and knowledge-sharing resources for Data Science platforms.Enable new capabilities in Posit, Dataiku or Databricks (AI & ML) and other platforms within specified timelines.Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Translate business requirements into deliverable tasks.Keep up with current industry trends, cloud-native concepts, best practices, and technologies.Troubleshoot platform issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to mitigate issues going forward.Estimate the effort required to deploy a new capability and deliver it within the agreed upon timelines.Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability robustness, and accuracy of the platforms.Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders and implementation teams.Effectively engage, both in person and virtually, with a global, multi-cultural team across different products to identify and leverage synergies.Good understanding of Data Science concepts.Experience working on Agile teams and knowledge of Scrum framework.Knowledge of SDLC.We offer:Competitive remunerationPosition in an industry leading global companyChallenging careerProfessional growth based on performanceInnovative working environmentWide range of benefitsRequired skillsProficiencyGit, Terraform, Docker, Ansible or more modern infrastructure management tooling.Shell scripting, PythonAWS (EKS, EC2, Networking)LinuxAbility to learn and grasp new concepts and master new tools and languages.Understanding of the Posit, Dataiku or Databricks (AI & ML) ecosystem, Base R & PythonWork with wider team to design and deliver new capabilities and products.Strong communication and collaboration skills. A proactive, analytical and delivery-oriented mindsetBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and 3+ years of experience in platform engineering and IT development projects.Nice to have skillsKnowledge of SLURMKnowledge of containerization platforms like DockerKnowledge of Databricks administrationKnowledge of integrating Posit with other systems and databases (Posit professional drivers, integrating with Artifactory and Bitbucket).Ability to maintain accurate documentation of Data Science platform configurations, procedures, and best practices.
