If you are a Sr. Maintenance Technician looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson Discrete Automation has a great opportunity for you! Based in Louisville, KY, you will provide support to the production floor and be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and responding appropriately to production and/or maintenance needs timely and effectively. This position will focus on automation, troubleshooting PLC & electrical equipment and everyday production needs.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly or repair. Troubleshoot & program PLC/HMI systems Troubleshoot and repair motor controls and electrical systems Electrical panel building and basic design Completes general facilities maintenance functions Completes preventive maintenance activities as directed May repair or maintain machines, mechanical equipment, or facilities Duties may also include troubleshooting and fixing faulty electrical switches, repairing motors, filling potting machines and facilities support Maintains maintenance shop supplies and repair parts Works within the established guidelines for performance, conduct, attendance Successfully completes company-required training Adapts to change in processes, activities, and/or direction Proficient use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, general purpose hand and power assembly tools Complete assignments safely and according to established safety standards Follows standard procedures for lock-out/tag-out and hazardous materials procedures Finish the tasks as assigned and complete work through our internal ticket system

You are an individual that is resourceful, have strong technical capabilities and action oriented.
For this role you will need:
High School diploma or GED equivalent A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Maintenance Technician in heavy industrial or manufacturing environment or related industry Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical Basic knowledge of CAD software Fluent in English Ability to lift 40 pounds intermittently Ability to sit and/or stand daily up to 10 hours Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
