Kforce has a client in Kansas City, MO that is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer. Essential Functions: * Communicate and collaborate across multiple teams by providing on-call support of production, client test cycles and resolving cycle-related issues or problems * Address cycle-tuning and cycle-performance issues and opportunities * Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception, through deployment, operation and refinement * Support services through activities such as system design consulting, integrating software and frameworks, automation creation, testing, capacity planning and implementation reviews * Maintain stability by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health * Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity * Utilize technical skills to maintain optimal system efficiency, productivity and reliability * Confidently strategize and act to provide creative solutions, communicating clearly and concisely while utilizing the AGILE philosophy * Perform other duties as assigned
