In this role, you will own and drive high-impact projects, applying advanced optimization, machine learning, and causal inference to directly optimize pricing across Uber. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with 5+ years of full-time engineering experience. 2. Proven experience **designing, implementing, and owning machine learning models in production environments** , with a focus on solving business problems rather than just optimizing theoretical performance. 3. Strong understanding of large-scale data and training systems (e.g., Spark, Hive). 4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of translating vague problems into actionable ML strategies. 5. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C++, Java, Python, or Go). ---- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, with 3+ years of full-time engineering experience. 2. Demonstrated experience in **taking end-to-end ownership of complex, ambiguous business problems** , formulating them into ML and optimization challenges, and delivering significant business impact. 3.
