We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary legal advisor on all employment law matters, working directly with leadership and People & Culture (formerly HR)  teams to ensure compliance, foster positive labor relations, and champion best practices. You will also take the lead in negotiating and managing collective bargaining agreements with relevant unions. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Provide expert counsel on Argentinian employment law, regulations, and labor practices. 

Advise business leaders and P&C on workforce strategy, policies, and procedures. 

Lead collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local legislation. 

Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee documentation. 

Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance and collective bargaining strategies. 

Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, proactively advising on potential impacts and strategic responses. 

Manage employment-related disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk for the company. 

Collaborate with global legal teams to implement company-wide initiatives and harmonize labor practices. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in Law; postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable. 

Admitted to practice law in Argentina. 

Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment. 

Proven track record in leading collective bargaining negotiations and union relations. 

Strong knowledge of Argentinian labor legislation, jurisprudence, and regulatory landscape. 

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. 

Fluency in Spanish; professional proficiency in English is required. 

Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across diverse teams.
