Job Description

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting Bosch’s growing HVAC solutions business in the Energy and Building Technology business sector in North America. The position will require the ability to effectively lead a team, manage numerous, diverse projects at the same time, and involve business consulting, contract drafting, and negotiation.  The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization and collaboratively with our global colleagues. Key job responsibilities will include:

Lead, manage, and develop the legal team responsible for supporting Bosch’s HVAC solutions business in North AmericaAdvise and consult with business, engineering, sales, and legal teams regarding a variety of legal and commercial issuesDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations to provide insight into legal issues that arise from the businessProvide legal advice and support on regulatory matters, including product compliance, competition/antitrust, and other relevant regulationsDraft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including those relating to sales, distribution, procurement, and non-disclosure agreements in alignment with applicable laws and internal Bosch policies and directivesWork with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with legal obligationsDeliver internal training on legal mattersSome travel, both domestic and international, may be required, as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

J.D. from a U.S. accredited law schoolMember of Texas bar in good standing or eligible to practice law in Texas as in-house counsel8+ years of experience as a practicing commercial/transactional attorneyExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environmentExperience in the HVAC industryExperience managing litigation and/or M&A transactionsExperience collaborating with international teams
