Job responsibilities

Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersUnderstands the business needs of our internal customers and translates these into actionable software development tasksDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in the capacity telemetry spaceActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineer concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience with data and telemetry at scale, preferably using open source tooling such as prometheusHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language like Python or Java, preferably GoAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceExperience in data visualization products such as Grafana, TableauPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsPractical cloud native experienceFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies
