Senior Portfolio Manager – Join a Key Player in the Energy Transition!

Approach People is recruiting a Portfolio Manager for an innovative company, a subsidiary of a large group specializing in smart energy management. This major player in energy flexibility supports industrial and tertiary sites, both electricity producers and consumers, in maximizing their assets, optimizing their consumption, and generating new revenue streams. Present in several European countries, the company leverages cutting-edge technologies and a network of partners to maintain the balance of the electrical grid while accelerating the energy transition.

Your Role:
As Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible with your team for the strategic management of the portfolio in Amsterdam.

 Technical Management & Projects

Evaluate the flexible power potential of industrial sites Analyze technical data & market conditions to build strong business cases Translate complex studies into clear, client-friendly proposals Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to support clients Contribute to strategic bidding in reserve & imbalanced markets Ensure compliance with system operator rules (e.g., Elia) Assess risks & value of new assets in the portfolio Support integration of new sites into the operational framework Act as a key point of contact for client communication & support Become a reference expert on flexibility products, internally and externally Help optimize asset performance—technically & financially Participate in the development of new energy services

 
Other Key Responsibilities:

Daily management of the flexibility portfolio Onboarding of new assets Pre-sales presentations and relationship management with partners (TSO, suppliers, etc.) Contributing to the evolution of internal tools

Required Profile:

From 3 years in a technical, energy, or asset management environment Languages: English (C1 level) Dutch or French (C1 level)
