Job responsibilities

 

Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDesign and develop algo trading strategies and execution platformDesign and develop our simulation environment and maintain our automated testing of strategies and their responses to staged market conditionsEnhance existing strategies to improve performance by reviewing analytics and evolving our models and signalsSupport the desk by deep-diving into specific cases to interpret strategy behavior and address any issuesDevelop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologiesIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

 Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s) Advanced experience in JavaProficiency in low latency, real-time, scalable trading systemsExperience in building/dealing with high throughput messaging APIs, middleware productsAbility to work effectively within a global team (spread across NA, EMEA, APAC) while influencing and contributing towards the development of the global platform[AK1] Experience with algorithmic trading, including systematic tradingAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
