Senior/Lead Engineer - Power Supply Design
Thales India Engineering Competency Center in Bangalore is seeking a Senior/Lead Engineer role to be part of the Hardware engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Power supply architecture and design for products of Space / satellite applications. You also perform trade analysis of different topologies, new technologies, design approaches, engineering simulations & modeling before finalizing the design.
Job Responsibilities:
You are in-charge and responsible for the power supply detailed design to the validation and support of the flight modelsResponsible for providing the support, adaptation and updating the existing power supply productsResponsible for the design and development of new power supply products (Including the selection of right components that meet the specification/performance requirement for space environmentYou will interface with the internal and external teams (Other engineering functions, suppliers, customers etc.)Responsible for implementing the products that meet Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test and Design to CostExpected to work on several projects in parallel and with several teams at the same time with strong involvement in schedules and costs. Expected to work on technically challenging problems, Planning and reporting the status and bringing successful conclusions.Minimum Skills & Experience:
Strong experience in DCDC energy conversion, linear and switching regulation from low to medium power up to 1KWShould have good knowledge of analog electronics, digital and communication interfacesShould have knowledge of EMI/EMC and Thermal managementShould have very good hands-on experience with mentor tools, Altium and Cadence including P-spice/LT-spice, SimplisMust have knowledge in products design for harsh environment like space. Components that include Power electronics (ICs, MoSFETs, GaN) and passives (PCBs, magnetics, capacitors, resistors, regulation and automation). Power sequencing, power integrity analysis is desirable.Good proficiency in English language with good Written and spoken skills. French language proficiency is desirableExcellent listening skills, team spirit, problem solving skillsQualifications : B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or related engineering discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience. Working experience in Defense\\military\\Aerospace products development is desirable.
