**Job Description:** **Experience Level:** **10+** **Years** **Department:** **Quality Engineering / QA** **About the Role:** We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated **Senior Lead Quality Engineer** to lead and execute our automation and API testing initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise in test automation frameworks, strong leadership in quality engineering practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Lead the design, development, and maintenance** of robust automation test frameworks using **Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG** . + Drive **API testing** strategies and execution using tools like **Postman, REST Assured** , or similar. + Develop and maintain scalable **automation test suites** integrated with CI/CD pipelines. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality at every stage of the **Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)** . + Utilize **JIRA** for test planning, defect tracking, and reporting. + Conduct **performance testing** using **JMeter** and analyze results to identify bottlenecks. + Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. + Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to quality standards across all releases. + Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation and quality assurance. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** + **10+ years** of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on **test automation and API testing** . + Expertise in **Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JIRA, JMeter** , and other QA tools. + Strong understanding of **STLC, Agile methodologies** , and CI/CD processes. + Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as **Java, Python, or JavaScript** . + Experience with **version control systems** like Git. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Proven ability to lead QA initiatives and mentor team members. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with **cloud-based testing environments** (e.g., AWS, Azure). + Familiarity with **containerization tools** like Docker. + ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus. **Location:** This position can be based in any of the following locations: Gurgaon **Current Guardian Colleagues: Please apply through the internal Jobs Hub in Workday** Every day, Guardian helps our 29 million customers realize their dreams through a range of insurance and financial products and services.
