Senior Lead Data Product Management Consultant – Technology Finance
About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Product Management Consultant to be part of the Technology Finance Shared Services Team.  As part of this team, you will support a suite of tools and technologies designed to deliver financial and operational insights to assist Technology and Finance teams in visualizing, analyzing and managing technology expenditure.

This includes supporting data driven tools and processes that support the execution of contracts, forecasting and budgeting of the expenditure, investment management and much more.  This role will be the senior analyst supporting a set of critical data-oriented technologies from a business management standpoint.

In this role you will:

Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for finance data products, aligning with business goals and stakeholder needs. Lead the life cycle of data products from concept through launch and iterationAgile Delivery Management: Perform the role of Product Owner in agile delivery, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Responsible for owning the product backlog and prioritization.Metrics and Financial Analysis: Create, track, and report on key metrics and financial analysis related to business performance. Demonstrate a robust data analysis capability and a strategic product mindset to drive innovation and deliver impactful finance data solutions.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance data management and reporting processes.Financial Data Research: Conduct research on complex financial data to support management decision-making and strategic planning. Identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis.AI Use Cases and Adoption: Identify and implement AI use cases to enhance data services, including areas such as data discoveryRequired Qualifications:7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Finance Data Experience: Proven experience with finance data, products, and processes.Strategic Data Expertise: Demonstrated ability to curate data for consumption and implement data enablement strategies across multiple platforms, with a strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and enterprise data standards.Complex Problem Solving: Strong decision-making skills with a track record of resolving highly complex issues and developing policies and procedures that support high-risk, cross-platform data initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, business units, risk partners, and technical teams, to drive alignment and execution of data strategies.Enterprise Communication & Advocacy: Skilled in promoting data capabilities and productization through storytelling, use case development, and stakeholder engagement to drive enterprise-wide adoption and value realization.Visionary Thinking: Experience in establishing and executing a strategic vision for data utility services and platforms that align with broader organizational data product strategies.Third Party Finance Tools: Experience with the third-party tools SAP, TFT, VRM, Ariba, Apptio.Data Tooling and AI/ML Analysis: Ability to analyze trends in data tooling, AI/ML products, and competitive data strategies.Metadata Management: Strong understanding of metadata management and data lineage.Technical Knowledge: Must have knowledge of T-SQL, databases, data warehousing, data analysis, joins, and indexing.Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile principles, Agile ceremonies, Software Development Lifecycle, JIRA, and Scrum/Kanban.
