Senior Key Account Manager (m/f/d)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to drive growth and manage key client relationships within the Finnish market. This role involves nurturing and expanding a portfolio of existing, complex B2C-focused accounts, with account revenues from €200K upwards. A primary focus will also be on proactively hunting and acquiring new clients within specified target industries. The successful candidate will report to the local Managing Director and operate with a significant degree of autonomy within a small, supportive team.

Target Client Industries:

The primary focus is on companies with a significant B2C business, specifically within the following sectors in Finland:

Banking and Finance Insurance Security Telecommunications

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Invoice Lifecycle Management Expertise: Demonstrable, in-depth understanding of the end-to-end invoice lifecycle, including invoice creation, processing, payment tracking, and reconciliation. Debt Collection and Debt Purchase Knowledge: Proven experience and strong understanding of debt collection strategies, processes, and relevant legal frameworks in Finland. Familiarity with debt purchase mechanisms and their implications for clients is crucial. Proven Key Account Management Experience: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable success in a Key Account Management role, specifically managing complex accounts with annual revenues (to our company) between €50K and €2M. Showing consistent achievement in customer retention, revenue growth, and profitability. New Business Development: A strong hunter mentality with a proven track record of successfully identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new clients within the Finnish B2C-focused sectors mentioned above. Industry Experience & Networks: Significant experience and a strong, established professional network within the target industries (Telco, Banking & Finance, Retail, Utilities, Security) in Finland. Crucially, these networks should extend to C-level executives and Heads of Finance departments. Customer Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting strategic relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels within client organizations. Proactive in identifying client needs and offering solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Strategic and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze account performance, identify opportunities for growth and profitability improvement, and develop and execute strategic account plans. Negotiation and Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal) in Finnish and English. Strong capabilities in managing and leading contract negotiations and execution. Technical Proficiency: Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Independent and Results-Oriented: A proactive, self-motivated individual capable of working independently with readily available technical and legal support. Strong drive to achieve and exceed KPIs, specifically revenue growth from existing accounts, new client acquisition, customer satisfaction (NPS), and profit margin. Coordination and Steering Skills: Skilled in coordinating and steering cross-functional teams including Client Management, Compliance & Risk, Legal, IT, Business Intelligence and Operations, in order to achieve targeted objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a commercially sharp and results-driven Key Account Manager with at least 5 years of experience, deeply embedded in the Finnish business landscape in particular within Banking & Finance, Insurance, Telco or Security sectors. He / she possesses a profound understanding of invoice lifecycle management, debt collection, and debt purchase. This individual is not only skilled at strategically managing and growing complex, high-value accounts but is also a proactive and successful new business hunter with connections reaching to C-level.

He / she thrives in an autonomous role within a small team environment, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The candidate should be adept at leveraging his / her extensive network and industry knowledge to drive revenue, enhance customer satisfaction (NPS), and improve profit margins. We are looking for a candidate preferably based in the Helsinki metropolitan area (with hybrid work options) or alternatively in Turku.
