Responsibilities Overview The role of the JDE Developer is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new JD Edwards ERP and bolt-on software applications and reporting, as well as maintaining and updating existing applications and reports in support of the achievement of business requirements. The JDE Developer will be proficient in JDE E1 Development and the technical design, development, and support of Orchestrations within the JDE toolset; this includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing applications and reports. The JDE Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications. This role will ensure functional designs are stable, reliable, and scalable. The role is also responsible for verifying production applications are operating at optimal levels through quality application delivery; and quickly and accurately correcting production issues as needed. The JDE Developer will also lead projects to their completion with minimal guidance. Work Location: Hybrid in MN or Remote eligible for some states. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Author and maintain artifacts (data model, DTIL’s, data maps, knowledge base articles, etc.) and educate the support team. Provide production support when necessary. Develop and customize ERP modules, functionalities, and automations using programming languages and ERP development tools to meet specific business requirements. Build and maintain technical components such as custom applications, UBEs, BSSVs, NERs, Orchestrations, and API integrations. Integrate ERP systems with other enterprise applications, Cloud Applications, databases, and external systems using middleware technologies and protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP) to ensure seamless data exchange and process automation. Performs unit testing and provides support for integrated testing and user acceptance testing. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs that align with ERP best practices and development standards. Tracks requirements from business case to implemented technical solution. Maintains requirements for reuse. Work in partnership with business systems analysts to build test plan, test strategies and the creation of test scripts to ensure requirements from business case are implemented into solution. Trace test plans/scripts to requirements from business case to implementation solution to ensure accurate results. Collaborate with project managers to plan, coordinate, and manage software development projects from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, scheduling, resource management, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the software development and business processes, implementing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance productivity. Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to evaluate, develop, and integrate software solutions and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations. Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve business processes, enhance system capabilities, drive innovation, stay abreast of industry trends and emerging best practices. Work Schedule: This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule from home and office. Qualifications Required Experience and Capabilities A Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field. 5+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) application development experience including in depth use of EnterpriseOne Development Tools, Orchestrator, JSON/XML, and ETL tools. Recent experience with JD Edwards E1 9.2 and related technologies. In-depth knowledge and experience with E1 development tools (OMW, FDA, RDA, BSFN, NER, BI Publisher, E1 Pages, etc.). Ability to design, develop, and support JDE Orchestrations both technically and functionally. In-depth knowledge of the JDE database structures and how the application uses the underlying tables and data. Understanding of different operating environments (DV, PY, PD) and associated object promotion rules. Previous experience supporting and integrating third-party systems. Familiarity with a formal project methodology or Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (Waterfall, Agile, etc.). Expertise in JDE development platforms and technologies, programming languages (C, Java), Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze and resolve complex technical issues, troubleshoot system failures, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Experience working on multiple full life-cycle application projects. Preferred Experience and Capabilities Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience. Experience working in and supporting a SOX compliant environment. Integration development and Web services (REST, SOAP). Integrating JDE E1 to 3rd party applications using integration middleware (Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.) Prior development experience with DSI. Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and integrating acquired companies into existing IT systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to consistently hit deadlines. Proactive self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision. Exceptional customer service skills with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms. The pay range for this position is $89,506 - $132,468 per year.
