Job Overview

ING is looking for an excellent Java Dev Engineer with focus on design/development skills who would like to work in a challenging environment with a lot of change. You are technically passionate, have an Agile mindset and have a background as Dev engineer within a Regulatory Reporting or Data Reporting environment. You are a team player working with end-to-end responsibility.

The Transaction Reporting family is charged with the oversight and steering of the ING’s trade and transaction reporting to ensure that the reporting is complete, accurate and timely. It is a dynamic, multifaceted environment that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver regulatory transaction reporting capabilities while providing risk management and control to ensure that ING globally complies with the relevant regulations such as MiFID, EMIR, and more.

Key Responsibilities

This position is to build a new application from scratch (a.k.a Galaxy) as part of the Transaction Reporting Transformation program, using latest technologies as per the market standards with focus on CI/CD and Test automation. Galaxy will be responsible to connect to a vendor (SaaS) solution to meet ING’s end-to-end regulatory requirements.

Minimum QualificationsExperience in Java (21) and Spring Boot (3.*)Expertise in Oracle database (SQL) developmentDevOps knowledge is good to have: CI/CD concepts, Azure DevOps is preferredGood understanding of Test automation with Junit & BDD conceptsExperience in using Kafka as a core messaging technologyKnowledge of IBM MQ and Tibco EMS is a plusKnowledge of Linux (RHEL) and service running on a Container Platform like Kubernetes, OpenShiftProven track record in data environment with regards to data quality, data flows, data consistency, and data lineageExperience in Banking industry, preferably Financial Markets Transaction Reporting
